Gerald Swindle is a tinkerer with a very creative mind for modifying fishing accessories to make them function more efficiently and perform more effectively.

Couple “G-Man’s” mechanical mind with two Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year titles, and a rich history as part of the Quantum family, and you’ve got a recipe for building a great series of rods at a price reflective of his humble beginnings.

Actually he designed (5) G-Force rods made of best-in-the-business 30-ton Toray™ graphite for a series of sticks with great sensitivity, plenty of backbone, and enough forgiveness in the tip on certain models for lures like topwater poppers and shallow crankbaits.

Swindle’s creations include a 6’ 9” for poppers and small crankbaits, a 7-footer he calls his all-around workhorse for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and Zara Spooks, as well as a 7’ 2” rod he’s calling the best chatterbait rod he’s ever thrown, a 7’ 4” rod for swimjigs and frogs, and a 7’ 6” fast-action pitchin’ stick.

All rods are just $99, and Swindle is already using them in Bassmaster Elite Series competition to cash way bigger checks than that.   SEE SERIES >

Using Reel Engine Design 2.0™ – Quantum’s new Smoke S3 series is the product of a whole new way to build a spinning reel in an all aluminum uni-body construction, which keeps all the gears and key components in precise alignment for a smoother more durable reel, versus more typical 2-part reels.

Speaking of gears, Smoke S3 reels feature an all-new asymmetric gear that is forged and machined from high-strength aluminum to allow the gears to mesh better for incredible durability and smoothness.

Tough, smooth gears are critical, but drag systems can make or break a spinning reel too, so by partnering with a university research team, Quantum CSC3™ drag is breaking new ground with the development of really tough plasma arc ceramic washers that serve as space-age defenders against heat.

Complimented by carbon fiber washers, the CSC3 drag system offers the perfect combination of smoothness with high lockdown.

Packed with Performance Tuned designs, Smoke S3’s light and tough corrosion proof C4LF™ rotor is made from a composite that is 2.6 times stronger than lesser components used to build the rotors of many inferior spinning reels so it won’t flex under a heavy fight.

Toughness continues with Quantum patented nickel titanium “memory metal” bail wire, which means it doesn’t bend like inferior bail wires do, and it’s backed by an impressive lifetime warranty.

Smoke S3 Inshore is saltwater version of Smoke S3, and features an awesome 11 bearings that are all anti-corrosion proof. Available in sizes 25, 30, 40 and 50, Smoke S3 Inshore retails for around $179, while the all purpose freshwater version is available in sizes 15, 25, 30 and 40 at a very fair $159.  And all come with a 3-year warranty when you register your reel within 60 days of purchase.  SEE SERIES >    SEE INSHORE SERIES >

This new series was actually modeled after the same actions that Quantum developed for their highest end rods called “Tour Series” that are only available to their illustrious pro team, and online at QuantumFishing.com.

So Smoke makes all the top actions the Quantum pros are using available to everybody, along with tough, weight-reducing features found in their Fuji SK2 reel seats, and Kigan’s high-end guides.

With nine casting and six spinning, there’s certainly an action for every technique, and at $149 they’re a strong value too. SEE SERIES >

Born from the same great cosmetic features that became so popular with the launch of a Vapor baitcasting reel in 2016, the brand new spinning version of Vapor is backed by a 3-year warranty, and built with an all aluminum uni-body construction called Reel Engine Design™ that keeps all the gears and key components in precise alignment for a smoother more durable reel, versus more typical 2-part reels.

Fans of the Vapor baitcaster will be quick to recognize and appreciate the durable, comfortable, and tactile cork rubber handle as they turn nine Performance Tuned bearings in anticipation of bites backed by rock solid hooksets, thanks to a brand new DuraLock™ clutch that has more rollers than previous clutches.

Following the hookset, anglers can be confident in Vapor’s patented CSC™ drag system that combines ceramic and  carbon fiber to provide superior smoothness and heat resistance. Plus a newly designed adjustment system makes Vapor’s drag nearly linear.

Available in sizes 15, 25, 30 and 40, Vapor’s Performance Tuned nickel titanium bail wire is exclusive to Quantum and it won’t bend like the bail wires on competitive spinning reels are prone to. And at a price of just $139, it won’t break you.  SEE SERIES >

Bob Bagby and Chris Littau have nearly 50 combined years of service at Quantum. Both are avid anglers with engineering degrees and straight-shooting personalities, and both are calling the new Smoke Series Three “S3” the greatest baiticasting reel platform Quantum has ever built.

That’s a mouthful, especially at a retail price of $169 that won’t choke avid anglers, and frankly, given the 18 Performance Tuned technologies Quantum built into this reel, it’s a very strong value at that price.

You don’t build a product this exceptional by going with the flow. So while most of the fishing industry focuses on smaller reels with tiny spools, Quantum engineered a larger 35.5 mm spool into a very compact frame to provide anglers plenty of line capacity, longer casts, and more inches of line pick-up with every turn of the handle, compared to smaller spooled reels currently littering the fishing industry.

However spool size becomes somewhat irrelevant without a top-notch braking system, so Quantum performed a tremendous amount of engineering research to develop a new ACS 4.0™ cast control that is lighter in weight which minimizes the amount of energy it takes to get the spool spinning on a cast, along with additional brakes that disengage around 5,000 RPMs to maximize distance.

The Smoke S3 also breaks new ground with a most ever 16 different cast control choices on a larger new easier to see and turn external dial, even for anglers with beefy fingers.

And no matter your hand or thumb size, all anglers will recognize the much improved ergonomics achieved on the Smoke S3 by a redesigned ‘hood’ to rest your thumb on while gripping the smaller frame featuring a smaller side gear box. Plus, a slightly more elevated thumb bar lessens the distance between the spool and your thumb when ‘feathering’ the spool.

The reel handle is oversized too at 95 mm, and contains a line memo dial to help you remember what pound test line you last spooled up with.

Available in four perfect gear ratios of 5.1:1, 6.1:1, 7.3:1, and 8.1:1, and three left handed models too, this reel promises to become one of fishing’s most popular reels, and it’s backed by an unmatched 3-year warranty so you’ve got peace-of-mind to compliment the confidence in your purchase decision.  SEE SERIES >

Quantum is confidently calling their new Tour S3 the best baitcasting reel they’ve built in the brand’s 30-year history.

Engineered with 8 anti-corrosion, 2 speed bearings, and 1 roller bearing, all 11 Performance Tuned bearings are built for both big bass or harsh saltwater conditions, and a sapphire jeweled spool tension washer much like high-dollar watch crystals are made of for a smoother harder surface for the spool shaft to turn against, Tour S3 is indeed a fine piece of machinery for $199.

While most of the fishing industry focuses on smaller reels with tiny spools, Quantum engineered a larger 35.5 mm spool into a very compact frame on the Tour S3 to provide anglers plenty of line capacity, longer casts, and more inches of line pick-up with every turn of the handle, compared to smaller spooled reels currently cluttering the fishing industry.

But in order for the oversized spool to cast optimally, furthering engineering was poured into a new ACS 4.0™ cast control that is lighter in weight which minimizes the amount of energy it takes to get the spool spinning on a cast, along with additional brakes that disengage around 5,000 RPM to maximize the distance.

Even anglers with offensive tackle-sized fingers will be able to enjoy Tour S3’s best-in-the business 16 different external cast control choices on a larger new easier to see and turn external dial.

All anglers will recognize the much-improved ergonomics achieved on the Tour S3 by a redesigned ‘hood’ to rest your thumb on while gripping the smaller frame featuring a smaller side gear box. Plus, a slightly more elevated thumb bar lessens the distance between the spool and your thumb when ‘feathering’ the spool.

Left handed anglers will be thrilled to know Tour S3 comes built to their needs, as well as the more popular right handed-model, in two very popular gear ratios of 6.1:1 and 7.3:1.

The world’s best bass anglers like Gerald Swindle and Greg Hackney will also tell you the oversized 95 carbon fiber handle is a true advantage for never finding your hands out of position on a hook-set, as well a better winch for getting big bass into the boat.

Plus, this Tour S3 reel handle has line memo indicator on it, so you’re never unsure what pound test line, you last spooled-up with as you pursue trophies in salt and fresh water with the peace-of-mind delivered in an awesome 3-year warranty (when you register your reel within 60 days of purchase).
