Omega® Spincast Reel is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Spincast reel I have ever fished This is the best spincast reel I have ever fished. It is silky smooth and its quality is excellent. All metal body, seven bearings, ceramic pickups, etc. I use Berkeley Nanofil with a graphite medium action rod. I can feel every bump and strike. I have outcasted people with spinning reels time and again. Highly, highly recommend this reel. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Spincast Reel I've ever Used Fantastic Reel, it is literally point and shoot. The uniform spooling when reeling really makes no friction when you cast, so you have to get used to bait going further than you're used to when casting out. Also the silicon material around the casting trigger really keeps it water tight and gives it that quality finish that you would expect. The 7 bearing system is smooth as silk. I own two platinums 33's with the 3 bearing drive, that have the notorious subtle grating of the metal bearings, but this system is nothing like it. I am not one to use filler words like great or fantastic but this reel is just as advertised. The only problem I had was the cheap factory cajun line. Only took a couple of minutes to swap out with some quality test. Would definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My father-in-law's favorite reel My 89 year old father-in-law can no longer fish with a bait caster. I wanted a quality reel for him to fish with that had the smooth characteristics of a good bait caster. This reel and the other one that I have bought from Zebco has met or exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite crappie fishing reel/ panfish This reel is awesome. I like that it has 7 ball bearings because it reels smoothly. I caught 3 bass with it just the other day, after I picked it up from the store. It performed well the first time I went fishing, and hope it stays that way. The aluminum covers are extremely durable, unlike other aluminum that they use on cheaper reels. I could even see my reflection on the aluminum, that's how polished and shiny the aluminum is. I also like how it's built like tank, very strong and durably reel. It is pretty heavy for a fishing reel, but you get use to it after holding it for awhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Z02 is a perfect "get back into fishing" reel. I purchased this reel for my elderly mother who has not fished in years. We needed a spin caster because that all she has ever used, and I didn't want a cheap piece of junk (after all, this is my mother...). The Zebco Omega Z02 fit the bill perfectly, being well made and easy to use.

We have a ZO2. What is the maximum pound-test monofilament line that can be successfully used in this reel? We have used 6 and 8, but would like to go stronger, if possible. Thanks.

Asked by: Rider79
6lb is what is recommended for this model. You can use 4-8lb without any problems.

It is possible to use braided line on these reels however we recommend using mono line in the appropriate pound test to get the maximum performance from these reels.

I own both ZD3 and ZO3. I don't see a difference in the the two but your company specifications say that the Omega has 6+1 bearings. Your parts diagram list the same parts, no difference. I do regular maintenance on my reels and they are identical.

Asked by: Rylo Ren
i dont understand this either ; i thought the delta had 2 less bearings ryno ren
